“Oreo” featured here is a 9 year old TWH about 16.2 HH he has a great temperment and a whole lot of WOW factor! He would make a super flashy mount for mounted police, or for anyone that likes the attention of a real head turner. TAKEN – 11-year-old Morgan gelding. More sound than a dollar! I’ve kept Taken as “my horse” for the past year and a half. I love this little dynamo. He is the perfect trail horse for someone that enjoys an animated horse. I am sure that he knows more than just trail riding but that’s all I’ve done with him because that is what I enjoy. He goes with a simple snaffle. He is FORWARD. He has never bucked, reared or displayed any bad habits. He does drive but I’ve not done that with him. This horse, in a deep frame – is something to behold. Classy and elegant.
Here’s the scoop – I simply do not have the time I need to ride this horse as much as he needs to be ridden. He is in deplorable shape. He has what looks like a beer belly! I feel that I am doing him a disservice. He needs to be used. He has those hard black morgan hooves. You can open gates from his back etc. He is comfortable to ride bareback. He is an easy keeper. He is NOT for a beginner. In the ring, maybe an advanced beginner but on the trail, he’s a goer! I love this horse and he is super loving in return. For his own sake I must let him go on to a more suitable home where he can have more to do. It is a shame to have his best years spent fallow. If you are looking for a lovely horse that looks like a million bucks under saddle… Here he is!

Ranger

From bones to beautiful, emaciated to exquisite, starved to stupendous, wasting to wonderful, haggard to HUBBA-HUBBA! Yes, Ranger in not rangy anymore and is now seeking a happy home with lots of goof food and love forever and ever. Sometimes it is difficult for us to let horses go we do get attached… but we must. There are others in need. RANGER is 15-year-old 16 HH liver chestnut (or maybe sorrel there is a lot of silver in his mane) Appalachian warmblood gelding. He came to us in Jan and has spent his days since then eating a lot of groceries and has gained about 400 lbs. He needs more exercise to develop more muscle. He is a sound, sweet, gentle, pocket pony. He has done some dressage and some jumping. He can be lazy in the ring. He steps out more on the trail. His tail had been chewed off by a pony at his previous home but is quickly growing in all shiny and thick. Not only does he have no bad habits…. He has an adorable mustache that he loves to nuzzle you with. He is one handsome easy-going dude that just wants be loved and to show love. Hunter pace? Low level eventer? Fox hunter? Trail riding? Husband Horse? Mounted police? There’s not much this big impressive horse couldn’t do. Serious inquiries please call Victoria 740-594-4336

“Al” reg Quarter horse gelding 17 years old  15. 2 HH dun. His papers are currently misplaced but hopefully will be located. Al is a portly fella. He has been attending weight watchers and is experiencing good results. He and “Susie” were in the same “Whitmans Sampler” pasture. There is a mountain of upside to this big horse. First of all he’s easy on the eyes. He is the most kind and gentle guy you’ve ever met. He has no bad habits. He an easy keeper. Excellent trail horse. Trailers, ties, good for farrier. Traffic safe. Great beginner horse! No kidding! We all know how difficult it is to find them. Great husband or guest horse with no trip to the ER.  Ok, so her’s the down side… Al hs a touch of Caudal heel syndrome so he has to wear shoes up front. In my opinion that’s a small price to pay for all the upside you get with big Al. 

Al is not in a hurry to get anywhere. (I can guarantee he won’t run off with aunt Judy)

You can head out on your own, in company he will lead or follow on the trail but will not be breaking any speed records.

Sorry about the pictures… they are not the best but I  am having camera trouble, I will get more soon.

“Boomer”

“Boomer” born 4-27-19 Spotted draft filly

   The last foal of the year. It saddens her to know that no one, not one person picked her. Now she is all alone, motherless and without a friend. 
   There was a time not very long ago that she was excited and bragged that she and her two best friends would be heading west to seek their fame and fortune. They were to attend a fancy college and and live in a posh stable with highly educated equine as their mentors. With wide open spaces for foals to frolic, yes all a motherless foal could hope for, an idyllic dream. But did she fly too close to the sun? 
   Things changed, she and her friends would not be going to that fancy home in the west. Her friends all got picked by loving adoptive parents and went their separate ways leaving her behind, forlorn, forsaken and forgotten. Her dreams dashed. She is now hoping for a special someone to pick HER. and give HER a home. It doesn’t need  to be some highfalutin, fancy ranchero  she just wants to be kept safe, with food to eat and friends to play with…in a good school district. 
She has been trying to keep herself together and keep up her appearances, so that one day that one special someone WILL come along and WILL adopt her. Sure keeps a brave face and keeps herself in shape by running about, but it’s with a veil of sadness when you’re all alone. Being the last foal at the “Horsenage” is hard on a gal’s self esteem. But we won’t tell if you won’t. That’s stigma should not have to follow her out into the world.
  She should be an average height horse but she will be stout. Oh, did I mention the feathers and adorable polka dots?
She is learning to lead, lunge and to be handled and groomed. As an added bonus she comes with her own supply of milk pellets!
If you have room in your heart and  barn for this 3 month old spotted draft cross(we do not know what she is crossed with) sweetheart and you are APPROVED give us a call.
